Avenham Walks - Stop C - Ribble Motor Services

On the corner of Manchester Road and Southern Parade, stands the original headquarters of Ribble Motor Services (Stop C). Designed by Ribble's own staff, it was opened on 6th September 1937.

Ribble was originally formed on 6th June 1919, a Preston ex-serviceman's de-mob money buying the first bus. Looking down Frenchwood Avenue, you can still see the garage and workshops dating from 1927.
